| Arlington's StaffRichard Parsons, Minister of MusicRichard Parsons has been the Minister of Music at Arlington Baptist since July 2005. He was born in Plymouth, Massachusetts, grew up in a Christian home, and was saved on Good Friday, 1983. He had the privilege of attending Christian schools during his elementary, junior high, and senior high years. He continued his Christian education at Bob Jones University in Greenville, South Carolina, and graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Church Music in 2002. The Lord continued to guide him into a position as a Graduate Assistant at Bob Jones, working at the IT Helpdesk while studying for a Master's in Church Music, which he received in 2004. Upon graduation, the door opened for him to become a computer teacher at Arlington Baptist School that fall. One year after his arrival at the school, the then-current minister of music stepped down, and Richard was asked to fill the position – first as a part-time interim and then more on a full-time basis. He continues to teach high school computer and yearbook on a part-time basis and spends the rest of his day devoted to church activities. Richard is also continuing his theological training by taking distance education courses from Calvary Baptist Theological Seminary in Lansdale, Pennsylvania. Richard and his wife, Kim, reside in the Owings Mills area. |
